Getting things done by developers - Funtime

First time I am trying to post a joke in this blog. These were initially posted on my Twitter, Linked In, and FB Pages as micro-updates.
Discard if you don't feel it :-)

These seem funny. But if you think deep, there is something to reason about. At least I think it is for the betterment of the industry as well as developers. Industry avoids lots of wastage and developers get paid more when they work in a buzzword title role.

TDD

Industry: Can you please test your code before committing?
Developer: No. I can't. I am a developer, not a tester.

Later

Industry: There is something called TDD. Can you follow it?
Developer: Wow, wonderful. I'm in. Here is 100% coverage.

DevOps

Industry: Can you please create MSIs and install them in servers?
Developer: No. I can't. I am a developer.

Later

Industry: There is something called DevOps. Can you follow it?
Developer: Wow, wonderful. I'm in. Here are the CI/CD pipelines.

Site Reliability Engineering

Industry: Can you please support your app in production?
Developer: No. I can't. I am a developer not support engineer

Later

Industry: SRE is a new buzzword. You want to be there?
Developer: Wow, wonderful. I'm in.
